Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide and selective growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR-1a) agonist. It is widely used in laboratory research to investigate growth-hormone signalling, pituitary function and neuroendocrine pathways.

In experimental models, Ipamorelin interacts with the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor on pituitary cells.
